A Skill for Living… A Skill for Life…
The Alexander Technique (AT) is a powerful tool for life which teaches us to ‘use’ ourselves better. We learn to recognise, and then change, unhelpful habits and patterns of behaviour which hold us back from our full potential – how we move, how we breathe, how we learn, how we organise our awareness and focus of attention and, above all, how we choose our reactions in increasingly demanding situations.
People come to the Alexander Technique for many different reasons. Because it is a method of mental and physical re-education, it can have a positive effect on a wide range of stresses and ailments, including back, neck or shoulder pain and other muscular/skeletal problems, headaches, RSI, breathing difficulties, sports and performance strain, stress related conditions, anxiety and depression. It also works to enhance performance, improve vitality and general wellbeing.
I teach the Alexander Technique through private lessons in Warfield, near Bracknell, Maidenhead, Windsor and Wokingham in Berkshire. My pupils come from all over Berkshire and neighbouring Surrey and Hampshire.

How can I help?
On the following pages you can find out more about me; about the Alexander Technique, how it might help you and how you learn. With my background in music, I have a particular interest in applying the Technique to performing arts. I hope the information is helpful, but the best way to learn about the Technique is to experience it for yourself and I always encourage potential pupils to come along for an initial lesson to experience it directly.
Please contact me to book a lesson, or I would be very pleased to hear from you if you would like further information.
I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
